The diversity of the area is extremely exciting with options ranging from many landmarks of the Industrial Revolution, including Big Pit where you can explore a coal mine guided by miners, to the world famous Brecon Jazz and Hay Literature Festivals. Activities include – climbing, abseiling, hiking, cliff scrambling, valley walks, mountain biking, canal cycling, narrow boats, sailing, swimming, clay shooting, open mountain climbing, high wire & dry wall climbing, archery, caving, golf, land carting, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, bird watching, farm visits, horse riding, nature excursions, the Brecon Mountain Railway and a variety of children’s activities, Rest assure the local National Park offices and Tourist Information Centres are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.
